Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Application

This policy governs badge registrations, sponsorships, summer-session enrollments, and any other paid participation in HBCU AICON, operated by Meme Styles Consulting.

2. Standard Refund Schedule (Subject to Counsel Review)

• 60+ days before the event: Refund of fees paid, less a non-refundable processing fee of the greater of US$50 or 10% of the amount paid.
• 30–59 days before the event: 50% refund of fees paid.
• Fewer than 30 days before the event: No refund. Badges may be transferred to a colleague at the same organization at no charge, subject to written notice at least 7 days before the event.
• Sponsorships: Non-refundable once a sponsorship agreement is countersigned.

3. Cancellation by Us

If we cancel an event for any reason, registrants will receive either a refund of the registration fee paid or a credit toward a future event, at our discretion. We are not responsible for travel, lodging, or any other ancillary costs incurred by you. Where you purchase travel or lodging, we strongly recommend purchasing refundable bookings and travel insurance.

4. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform, including the cancellation or postponement of any event, caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, governmental orders, public-health emergencies (including epidemics and pandemics), utility or vendor outages, or labor actions. In such cases, the credit option described in Section 3 will be our sole obligation.

5. Chargebacks

Please contact us first at project@memestylesconsulting.com to resolve any payment concern. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension of access to the Service and recovery of related fees.

6. How to Request a Refund

Send your request, order ID, and reason to project@memestylesconsulting.com. We aim to respond within ten (10) business days.

7. Updates

We may update this policy. The version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
