Media Release

By submitting an application to be listed publicly in connection with HBCU AICON (including as an advisory board member, speaker, presenter, sponsor, or panelist) and by checking the corresponding consent box on the submission form, you agree to the following in favor of Meme Styles Consulting (“Meme Styles Consulting”).

1. Grant of Rights

You grant Meme Styles Consulting and its successors, assigns, licensees, sponsors, partner institutions, and contractors (collectively, the “Licensees”) a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, broadcast, publicly perform, edit, adapt, and create derivative works of:

• your name, professional title, organization, and biographical information;
• any photograph, headshot, video, or audio recording you submit or that is captured at any program event in which you participate; and
• your voice, statements, likeness, and any other identifiable attributes captured in connection with the program,

in any and all media now known or later developed, including the program websites, social media, marketing materials, press releases, sponsor decks, recap content, and archives.

2. Your Warranties

You represent and warrant that:

• any photograph or material you submit is yours to license, or you have obtained all rights and permissions necessary to grant the rights in Section 1;
• the information you submit is accurate and not misleading; and
• your participation does not violate any agreement with a third party.

3. No Compensation

You acknowledge that you will not receive any compensation or royalty for the rights granted under this Media Release.

4. No Obligation to Use

Meme Styles Consulting is not obligated to use, list, publish, or display any submitted material, and may remove, edit for length and clarity, or decline to use any material at its sole discretion.

5. Release

You release Meme Styles Consulting and the Licensees from any claim, demand, or cause of action (including for libel, defamation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or infringement of copyright or moral rights) arising out of the use of any material as permitted by this Media Release.

6. Withdrawal

You may withdraw consent for future use by writing to project@memestylesconsulting.com. Materials already published, printed, or distributed prior to receipt of your written withdrawal may remain in circulation, and Meme Styles Consulting is not obligated to recall or destroy them.

7. Governing Law

This Media Release is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA.
